Monger picks up Molten/NEC Player of the Week honors after leading Robert Morris to a 2-0 weekend, extending the Colonials current win streak to five. The junior registered 44 kills in just seven games, for an outstanding 6.29 kills per game for the week. Monger hit for .316 and topped the team with 31 digs to average 4.43 per game. The Maryland native was also a perfect 41-for-41 on service reception attempts. Monger started the week with a career-high 23 kills in three sets in RMU’s sweep of Saint Francis (PA), the most kills by a Colonial in over 200 matches. The kills came on just 40 attempts as she hit a match-best .425, topping the .400 mark in back-to-back matches for the first time in her career. But the outside hitter wasn’t done yet, as she became the first Colonial since 2004 to have at least 20 kills and 20 digs in a single match in a 3-1 win over Fairleigh Dickinson. Monger's 21 kills and 21 digs marked her team-leading eighth double-double of the season and fourth 20-plus kill match of the 2011 campaign.
