Just one week after scoring two goals in a 2-1 win over in-state rival Princeton, junior Ryan Clark showed he could also help out, dishing out four assists, including a career-high three in a 4-0 win over Long Island, to earn adidas/NEC Player of the Week accolades. The Freehold, NJ, native put his Hawks out to a hefty first-half lead against the Blackbirds by setting up teammates Matt Jeffrey and Joseph Schmid less than four minutes apart, before collecting the secondary helper on George Quintano’s strike that capped the stanza with 41 minutes showing on the clock. He then picked up his fourth assist of the weekend in a 2-1 setback to Central Connecticut State, the Hawks’ first NEC loss in nearly two years. Clark is now tied for the league lead with five assists and is second in points with 11.
