NEC Golfer of the Month
Colligan, the reigning NEC Rookie the Year, picks up NEC Golfer of the Month honors after a superb start to the 2011-12 campaign. The Kittanning, PA native captured the individual title at the 61-player Cleveland State Invitational over the weekend where she carded a two-day even-par 146 (73-73) to give her a five shot advantage over the second place finisher. Colligan posted 10 birdies in two rounds of action to lead all individuals in the category. She also recorded a third place individual finish at the Bucknell Women’s Invitational earlier in the month, ranking her as the highest Red Flash golfer in the 80-player field. During the first round of play, the sophomore recorded a collegiate career low-round of 70. Colligan went on to shoot 79 and 71 for a total of 220 at the 54-hole event.
