Sophomore Gabriel Bagot struck for two goals, including a game-winner, to lead his St. Francis (NY) Terriers to a 2-0-0 record last week and capture this week’s adidas/NEC Player of the Week honor. The second-year forward got his team its first win of the 2011 season last Wednesday against Hofstra when he connected off a pass from teammate Robbie Weir in just the 13th minute of play, sealing a 1-0 victory. He then doubled his goal total for the season later in the week at Howard. Sprung off a feed from junior Adam Maabdi, Bagot struck paydirt from about 20 yards out for the game’s first goal with 11:43 elapsed. The Terriers went on to win the contest 2-1 and even their season record at 2-2-1. Bagot currently leads the team with two goals and five points.
