Veith grabs both Molten/NEC Player and Defender of the Week honors following an outstanding week on the court for Robert Morris. The middle blocker hit for .596 in three matches and tallied 22 blocks to average 2.0 blocks per game. The senior put recorded double-digit kills in all three of her matches and finished the week with 3.36 kills per game. Veith began on Tuesday by collecting her first career, regular season double-double on 11 kills and a career-high 12 blocks the most for a Colonial since 2003. The Ohio native hit a scorching .667 in the 3-1 win over Youngstown State. Veith then had plenty left in the tank for the opening weekend of NEC play as she recorded 14 kills and seven blocks against Long Island Saturday while hitting .632. This was the first time she has recorded back-to-back hitting percentages of at least .600 and the first occasion in which she has tallied at least seven blocks in back to back matches. The senior wrapped up her stellar weekend with 12 kills and a .522 hitting percentage against St. Francis (NY) on Sunday to help RMU to a perfect 2-0 league record.
