Bird flew to the top of the NEC goal scoring leader board by totaling three tallies in a pair of victories last week. The freshman forward, who has nine goals in her first nine games, provided the Bulldogs’ first score in a 3-2 win over intrastate rival Brown. Thirty-five seconds after the host Bears took a 1-0 lead, Bird answered by notching an unassisted tally. Her next time out, she scored back-to-back first-half goals, separated by a span of 11:22, to put Bryant on its way to an eventual 4-0 blanking of Colgate in Smithfield. Attempting to help Bryant pick up its third win in a row, Bird fired four shots on goal in a 2-1 setback at Harvard. Bird took a total of 16 shots, 11 of which found their way on net, over the three-game span.
