Manziano did not tally single point, but her contributions to Monmouth’s two-win week were not unnoticed. The junior back was responsible for some big-play defense as the Hawks faced Delaware, Temple, and No. 16 UAlbany last week. Manziano registered six defensive saves over the three-game span that saw the Hawks lift their overall record to 7-4. She was sensational in Monmouth’s 3-2 overtime road win at Delaware, twice denying the Blue Hens the go-ahead goal. In the first half, she kept the game tied at 1-1 when she denied Delaware’s corner attempt by batting the ball out of mid-air and sending it out of the danger zone. With the game deadlocked at 2-2, Manziano denied UDel on the doorstep as time expired in regulation play. Next time out, she allowed the Hawks to hang right with nationally-ranked Albany by recording three defensive saves in the 2-1 setback. She registered a defensive save for the fourth consecutive outing when she cleared the ball off the line in a 2-1 victory at Temple.
