Lisanti secured a NEC series victory for Bryant by spinning a three-hit 7-inning shutout of Quinnipiac in Game 3 of the four-game set. The sophomore starter struck out three Bobcats, walked none, and faced only two batters more than the minimum. Opponents hit only three balls in the air as the right-hander logged 13 groundball outs. Lisanti allowed a one out single in the first inning before retiring the next 11 men to face him. The second-year Bulldog surrendered leadoff hits in the fifth and sixth innings, but induced the ensuing batter to ground into a double play on both occasions. The 5-0 victory improved Lisanti’s record to 5-3 and the righty’s ERA fell to 2.97. The weekly NEC honor is the sixth of teh season for a member of Bryant’s pitching staff (Kelich 3, Andrews 2).
