Williams continued to shave down her 400-meter hurdle time, and, as a result, she returns to the NEC Rookie of the Week post she last occupied on April 5. Going up against a 43-entrant field at Princeton’s Larry Ellis Invitational, Williams hurdled her way to a fifth-place finish by lowering her seasonal best time to 1:01.70. The time, which stands 0.9 second faster than her previous best, automatically qualified the rookie for the ECAC Championships, which are set for May 14-15.
