Scicolone long jumped her way to a gold medal and a Sacred Heart program record while competing at the Rider University Invitational. The first-year Pioneer scored her first collegiate victory by long jumping 5.55m (18’ 2.5”) at Rider. The mark broke SHU’s previous program record (5.52m), which was set by current teammate Ashley Matakevich last year. Scicolone currently ranks fourth on the NEC’s long jump leader board and her mark would have won bronze at the 2010 NEC Outdoor Championships.
