Walsh took third place in the heptathlon at UCLA’s Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner Kersee Invitational by producing the seventh-highest point total in Monmouth’s program history. Walsh tallied 4,622 points, a total that surpasses the qualifying standard for the ECAC Championships in May. The third-year Hawk finished first amongst her opposing heptathletes in the high jump at UCLA. She cleared 1.65m (5’ 5”) and moves into a three-way tie atop the NEC performance list as a result. Walsh’s selection ended Sacred Heart’s two-week run of back-to-back field awards.
