Williams was the NEC’s top track performer last week, but she hands that title over to LIU’s Jessie Gaines in exchange for the NEC Rookie of the Week award. Shaving 0.3 second off her season-opening 400-meter hurdle time, Williams clocked in at 1:02.60 at William & Mary’s Colonial Relays. Williams finished second only to Villanova’s Kristen Mahon in the field of 46 finishers. The freshman hurdler continues to lead the NEC in her signature event and is only fractions of a second shy of the qualifying standard for the ECAC Championships.
