High jumping for the first time since his bronze medal showing at the IC4A Indoor Championships, Fajoyomi catapulted himself toward the top of the NCAA Division I leader board. The St. Francis (NY) freshman cleared 2.15m (7’ 0.50”) to finish fourth amongst a field of elite competitors at the 2011 Florida Relays. The height is one centimeter better than Fajoyomi’s indoor seasonal best (2.14m) and ranks 11th overall amongst the NCAA’s national outdoor leaders. Fajoyomi, who thrice cleared 7 feet during his inaugural indoor campaign, ranks seventh amongst all performers in the NCAA East Region and is only one of four freshmen in the nation to high jump 2.15m this outdoor season.
