Gilhuley set a personal collegiate record in the 3,000-meter steeple chase and surged atop the NEC performance list in the process. The Brooklyn-born Gilhuley crossed the line in 9:25.89 at the 2011 Florida Relays. The sophomore steeple chaser turned in a time that would have been good enough to win the 2010 NEC title by more than 12 seconds. Saint Francis (PA) freshman Chris Fischer sits second on the conference’s top times board, exactly 9.7 seconds behind Gilhuley.
