Gelman contested a pair of No. 5 singles matches last week in Puerto Rico, winning both. The first-year Bulldog accounted for one of Bryant’s two team points against Connecticut by topping Ryan Carr, 6-4, 2-6, 10-7. Contributing to Bryant’s 4-3 win over rival Sacred Heart two days later, Gelman knocked off Cole Conrad in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. He currently owns a personal four-match win streak in singles play dating back to Feb. 20. Gelman also had a hand in a pair of No. 1 doubles wins last week. Teaming up with veteran Juan Paredes, Gelman notched one of the wins against SHU’s top tandem of Ujkic and 2010 NEC Player of the Year Kirill Kasyanov.
