Monmouth has been solid defensively in the early portion of its schedule, due in part to the play of D’Urso. Last week she finished with three ground balls and five caused turnovers in a 1-1 week for the Hawks, who are 4-2 on the season. In Friday's 6-4 win over Binghamton, she recorded two ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers, while also scoring her fourth goal of the season. She was part of a defensive effort that held the Bearcats to just four goals, the lowest total by a Monmouth opponent since the 2008 regular season finale against Mount St. Mary's (a 10-4 victory). In Sunday's 11-6 loss to Saint Joseph’s, she collected a ground ball and added three caused turnovers, which tied a career-high for the Fairfield, NJ product. D’Urso ranks second on the Hawks with nine caused turnovers on the year.
