Geena Badolato Award Akadema/NEC Rookie of the Week Week Of 3/13/2011 Sport Softball School Robert Morris Year Position Hometown High School Badolato earned her first collegiate win Monday against Holy Cross with a dominating complete game effort in which she carried a no-hit bid into the fifth and faced the minimum through five innings. She gave up just four hits and zero walks (or hit batters) and allowed just one run. Badoloato ended the game with a strikeout to a Crusader hitter that represented the tying run at the plate. Badolato was not finished recording firsts for the week as she registered her first-collegiate shutout in her next outing as she allowed just three hits and again zero walks (or hit batters). In fact, during the majority of the Under Armour Tournament, Badolato was on quite an impressive run-she faced 90 consecutive batters over five games without issuing a single walk or hitting a batter.
