Leme reclaims the NEC rookie honor she first won back on Oct. 5 during the fall season. The FDU freshman has posted two No. 5 singles wins along with a pair of No. 3 doubles victories as the Knights eased into the spring season by playing four dual matches during the month of February. Leme made quick work of Saint Joseph’s Tara Walsh, posting a 6-0, 6-3 singles triumph in a 6-1 team victory over the A-10 member. Saint Peter’s Vanessa Vogel was also no match for Leme as the NEC Rookie of the Week breezed past the Peahen, 6-1, 6-2, as part of a 7-0 team shutout (Feb. 25).
