Bruno has quickly developed into a power bat for the middle of the Central Connecticut State lineup. The rookie currently leads the Blue Devil squad with a .379 batting average, thanks to her showing in a double-header against Coppin State and at the Hampton Tournament over the weekend. She wrapped up the six-game tilt, going eight for 19, while smacking two doubles, a triple and a homerun. Bruno also walked three times and stole three bases. The outfielder made herself a reliable force at the plate for Central, notching a hit in all but one game and scoring a run in all but two. In Central’s win over Coppin State she had a career-high five RBIs, posting a three-for-four rally at bat and accounting for three runs.
