Litteral led defending NCAA champion Fairleigh Dickinson to its fifth Capital City Classic title in the past six years. The senior bowler averaged a team-high 20.54 pins per frame over 13 total matches, 11 of which were won by FDU, at Delaware State’s annual event. Litteral left only nine open frames over the entire course of the three-day tournament, accounting for a .919 filled frames percentage. The veteran righty accounted for a team-best 205.2 five-game traditional average, helping FDU win four of five. She exceeded the 200-pin mark thrice and her high traditional game came during a victory over perennial NCAA title contender Vanderbilt in the form of a 232. She posted a team-high 191 game during the Knights’ lone traditional team loss, a 109-pin setback to NEC rival New Jersey City that FDU would avenge one day later. Litteral was just as effective during the baker play portion of the DSU Capital Classic. She averaged 20.56 pins per baker frame to spearhead the Knights’ 7-1 showing in baker contests, including wins over No. 9 NJCU, No. 1 UMES, and No. 12 Vandy during best-of-seven championship bracket play on Sunday.
