Williams’ performance during NEC Rivalry Week returns the freshman forward to the Choice Hotels NEC Rookie of the Week post she held twice during December. The three-time Choice Hotels rookie honoree averaged 13.5 points and 6.5 rebounds over the Red Flash’s home-and-home series sweep of Keystone State rival Robert Morris. Williams shot better than 50 percent (10-for-19) during the two wins that gave Saint Francis (PA) sole possession of first place in the NEC standings. Playing her collegiate ball only miles down the road from her Altoona-based high school, Williams wowed the local crowd during the Flash’s 84-66 home win. In a contest broadcast live by NEC-TV, the rookie posted a double-double and was subsequently named the Ruby Tuesday Player of the Game. She tallied 18 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals. Helping SFPA complete the sweep, Williams added nine points, on 4-of-8 shooting, three rebounds, and three assists in the Moon Township meeting.
