Bridge posted a pair of first-place finishes to claim the NEC Field Athlete of the Week award for the third time this season, and first since Jan. 11. The veteran thrower registered a seasonal best in the weight throw and added another ECAC-qualifying performance in the shot put at Delaware’s Thomson Invitational. She won the weight title at the Thomson Invitational by tossing the implement 16.56m (54’ 4”), a mark that moves her up to fourth on the NEC leader board in that event. Bridge also claimed victory in her signature event, putting the shot 13.77m (45’ 2.25”). Although the mark didn’t match the league-leading personal record (14.27m) she set at the Bison Opener back in December, only Monmouth’s Rachel Aliotta, last week’s field honoree, has topped 13.77m in the shot put this season.
