The Barron-led Bobcats pulled into a first-place tie atop the NEC standings thanks to a pair of prime road performances from the starting point guard. The sophomore guard averaged 23.5 points and 6.0 assists in double-digit victories over Mount St. Mary’s and Wagner. Barron lit it up from three-point land to the tune of 64.3 percent (9-of-14) and shot a near-perfect 10-of-11 from the free throw line. After breaking the 20-point mark for the first time this season in a home win over Bryant (Jan. 17), Barron put together back-to-back 20-plus point performances on the road and sported a 2.4 assist-to-turnover ratio over the two-game span. The 5-foot-7 floor general tallied 25 points and seven assists over 28 minutes of action in a 74-60 win at the Mount. Barron made six of her seven three-point attempts against the Mountaineers and carried her hot hand into Quinnipiac’s Monday night affair at Wagner. She scored 22 points and dished out five assists in the 77-62 victory over the Seahawks. Barron’s weekly award is the second straight for the boiling-hot Bobcats who saw senior center Courtney Kaminski honored last week (Jan. 18).
