Kaminski continued to victimize NEC defenses, pouring in 53 points over 55 minutes last week. The 6-foot-3 senior center averaged 26.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks over a pair of victories that bumped Quinnipiac’s league record to 5-1. She shot the ball well from all over the floor, converting at a 64.3 percent (18-of-28) clip in home wins over Central Connecticut and Bryant. The preseason all-NEC center was 14-for-16 (.875) shooting from the free throw line and also showed she can score from the outside as well. Known for her prowess in the post, Kaminski stepped back and nailed all three of her three-point attempts last week. She accounted for the NEC’s single-game scoring high, tallying 32 points and eight rebounds, in a one-point defeat of rival CCSU. Kaminski eclipsed the 20-point mark for a third time in NEC play when she dropped in 21 points during the Bobcats’ 85-74 triumph over Bryant.
