Abraham helped lead two-time defending NEC champion Robert Morris to its first winning streak of the 2010-11 campaign as the Colonials made it three in a row with a pair of home victories last week. The 2009-10 NEC Rookie of the Year averaged 21.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals while shooting 60.0 percent from the field, including a scorching 61.1 percent (11-18) from long range. In an 83-65 win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Thursday, Abraham scored the first eight points of the game and shot 5-5 from three-point range in the first half alone as the Colonials took a 14-point lead into intermission. He netted 17 points in the opening stanza and finished the game with a game-high 24 points on just eight shots from the floor. Abraham finished 6-7 from outside the arc and added two blocks and two steals. Two nights later, he tallied a team-best 18 points in a 60-57 victory over Monmouth. The Paterson, NJ native hit five more shots from three-point territory, and recorded four rebounds and two steals. He sank a pair of clutch free throws with 32 seconds to play to keep it a two-possession game. Abraham has now led the Colonials in scoring in each of the last five games, averaging 23.0 points on 57.1 percent (24-42) shooting from long range during that span. On the season, the 5’9" guard is fourth in the NEC in scoring at 16.5 ppg. He also leads the league in three-pointers (3.2/game), and ranks second in three-point percentage (.436) and seventh in free throw percentage (.848). Likewise, in conference play, he is averaging 21.8 ppg and has drilled 59.4 percent (19-32) of his three-point opportunities.
