Lane ran the fastest 3,000-meter time of any NEC freshman this season at Army’s Carleton Crowell Invitational. The SHU rookie runner crossed the line in 10:32.25 to claim the silver medal behind Army’s Cecelia Forshee. Her second-place time also ranks second on the NEC leader board, behind only SHU teammate Kimberly DeLoreto’s performance from the Harvard Open on Dec. 11, 2010.
