Folahan provided a dominant inside presence for Wagner in a 69-57 loss to a red-hot Princeton team last Friday. He established career-highs with 19 points and seven blocked shots, and added five rebounds, two assists and a steal in a breakthrough performance. Folahan, who hails from Benin Republic in West Africa, converted 6-8 shots from the floor and 7-8 from the line. The seven rejections represented an NEC single-game season-high and were the most by a Wagner player since Miladin Mutavdzic blocked eight against Fairleigh Dickinson on February 29, 1992. On the year, Folahan leads the NEC with 2.0 blocks per game and is averaging 4.1 points and 3.6 rebounds per outing. He joins teammate Latif Rivers - a three-time honoree - as Choice Hotels Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week award winners for Wagner this season.
