Vasilyeva made her Robert Morris debut at the Kent State Golden Flash Gala and receives the NEC Rookie of the Week award for her performance there. The first-year Colonial cleared 1.65m (5’5”) in the high jump to tie for second place at the meet. Vasilyeva’s season-opening height ranks her third on the Northeast Conference performance list and would have placed fifth at last season’s NEC Indoor Championships.
