Williams provided punch off the bench in each of Saint Francis’ victories last week, especially during the Flash’s offensive explosion that resulted in Kent State’s first loss of the season. Three days after her teammate Samantha Leach scored 29 points to set the NEC’s single-game season high against Pittsburgh, Williams matched the feat by pouring in 29 during a 101-92 overtime victory over Golden Flashes. The freshman forward went 11-of-14 (.786) shooting to become the second NEC rookie in as many weeks to reach the 20-point mark. Williams, a local product from nearby Altoona, scored one point and grabbed three rebounds in Saint Francis’ 85-71 win over Pittsburgh. She averaged 15.0 point and 5.0 rebounds per game last week, while committing only one turnover in 40 minutes of floor time.
