Pankey produced her highest scoring output yet and picks up her second consecutive NEC Rookie of the Week award as a result. The redshirt freshman put up the first 20-point performance of her career against Atlantic-10 member Fordham. Thirteen of Pankey’s 20 points came in the second half as FDU attempted to erase a seven-point deficit after the break. The 5-foot-11 guard made her first four field goals attempts of the second session while also hitting 4-of-4 from the free throw line. Pankey hit a pair from the charity stripe to bring the Knights within 53-50 with 2:36 remaining in the eventual 62-56 defeat. She also grabbed four rebounds and dished out two assists while committing only one turnover. After totaling a combined 22 points in victories over Columbia and Army, Pankey went 7-of-10 shooting against Fordham to become the first NEC rookie this season to reach the 20-point plateau.
