After logging more than 100 all-purpose yards for the third consecutive game, Romain captured his third straight NEC Rookie of the Week award. Albany’s redshirt-freshman tailback accounted for 159 all-purpose yards in a 38-22 win over Wagner. Helping the Danes clinch their fifth straight winning season, Romain rushed 18 times for 71 yards and made a three-yard reception. He also made key contributions as a kick returner, taking back a pair of kickoffs for a total of 85 yards. His 48-yard second-quarter kickoff return setup an Albany scoring drive that gave the Great Danes a 14-3 lead. Romain recorded a 37-yard run-back later in the same period. Romain averaged 121.7 rushing yards per contest during Albany’s season-ending three-game win streak.
