Arnold made a major impact on special teams in Central Connecticut State’s double-overtime win at Monmouth. The defensive end returned a second-quarter kickoff for a touchdown and blocked a short field goal during crunch time. After Monmouth used a 69-yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 21-21, Arnold answered right back. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound defender fielded the ensuing kickoff at the 30-yard line and ran 70 yards to pay-dirt. Arnold struck again with fewer than six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. With Monmouth attempting a 24-yard field goal that would have increased its lead to nine, Arnold came up with his first block of the season to keep the Blue Devils within one score.
