Smyers posted her fourth consecutive singles win in dual match play last week. Contributing to Bryant’s 7-0 team victory over NEC rival Monmouth, Smyers dropped only two games in her straight-set triumph over Jessica Vickers at No. 3 singles (6-1, 6-1). Earlier in the day, she helped the Bulldogs secure the doubles point by teaming up with Valeria Couto-Cuervo for a win in the No. 2 position. After falling in her collegiate dual match debut at URI on September 15, Smyers has reeled off four straight victories, the last three of which have come against NEC foes.
