Romain rushed for two touchdowns in Albany’s 48-0 shutout of NEC foe Saint Francis (PA). In what was the Great Danes’ first home game this season, Romain ran 15 times for 58 yards and also made one reception. The rookie tailback had five carries for 20 yards on a first-quarter touchdown drive that he capped with a two-yard burst. Becoming only the second true freshman in UAlbany’s Division I history to rush for two scores in the same game, Romain’s one-yard plunge extended the Danes’ lead to 38-0 with 2:22 to go in the third quarter. The former New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year at Don Bosco Prep (2008) has logged more than 50 rushing yards in each of his last two outings.
