Solis becomes the first Robert Morris player to claim adidas/Northeast Conference Player of the Week honors in nearly three years after he scored two goals and added an assist in a 2-0 week for the Colonials. Solis, who hails from Hummelstown, PA, helped Robert Morris jump into a second place tie in the NEC standings after the program’s first six-point conference weekend since the 2006 season. The senior midfielder recorded an assist in the 35th minute and tacked on an insurance goal - his first of the year - late in the second half of a 4-0 win over Central Connecticut State on Friday. Solis notched his second goal on the season on Sunday, sending a low shot in off the far post in the 39th minute to open the scoring in a 2-1 win over Quinnipiac. His point total from the weekend exceeded his career point total of four. The Colonials are now unbeaten in their last seven matches following an 0-4 start.
