Cunniff was responsible for 75 percent of Quinnipiac’s scoring output last week. The sophomore rattled the cage on three occasions in two games. Cunniff scored two goals on three shots to lift Quinnipiac over Lafayette. She sparked a Quinnipiac’s three-goal second half that resulted in a 3-1 victory and allowed the Bobcats to slam the brakes on a three-game losing streak. Lafayette jumped out to a 1-0 lead 27 seconds into the game, but Cunniff delivered the equalizer in the 46th minute before netting the game-winner in the 58th minute. Two days earlier, she prevented Quinnipiac from being shut out by putting the Bobcats on the board in the 50th minute of a 6-1 setback to Maine. Cunniff stands as Quinnipiac’s second weekly honoree of the 2010 season. Veteran Kaitlyn Notarianni held a share of the NEC Player of the Week award as a result on the five points she tallied in a season-opening win back on August 29.
