Paredes took third place in his draw at the Northeast Intercollegiate hosted by Brown University. The third-year Bulldog opened play by logging a straight-sets quarterfinal victory over Colgate’s Alec Goldstein, 6-4, 6-0. Brown’s Tim Klanke proved to be too much for Paredes in the semifinal round, but the Bryant junior bounced back to win the ensuing consolation match. Taking third place, he outlasted Nicolas Pisecky of three-time defending MAAC champion Marist in a third-set super tie breaker, 4-6, 6-4, 10-6.
