Keeping the NEC Player of the Week award in Hawk hands, Baligian tallied three goals during a pair of victories that stretched Monmouth’s win streak to five. The sophomore forward provided what proved to be the decisive scores in wins over Lehigh and Rutgers. With the Hawks clinging to a 1-0 lead since early on in the opening half against Lehigh, Balligan provided some insurance when she scored the eventual game-winner off a pass from Michelle Pieczynski in the 52nd minute. She fired a total of four shots on goal in the Hawks’ 4-1 triumph. Two days later, Baligian twice found the back of the net against Garden State rival Rutgers. Baligian gave Monmouth a 3-2 lead early in the second half, and was far from done. Rutgers tied the score at 3-3 in the 55th minute, but Balligan came to the rescue and notched the game-winner with 6:47 remaining in regulation. She has five goals in seven games this season.
