Sage garners her second Molten/NEC Player of the Week award of the four-week season for a stellar tournament outing, as the Pioneers swept the Holly Young Invitational this past week. The sophomore’s dominance at the net came in the form of 39 kills, a .471 hitting clip and 3 blocks over the course of the three-match competition. In Sacred Heart’s first victory of the weekend over Rutgers (3-1), Sage smacked 16 kills for a .625 hitting percentage, committing only a single error in four sets. The outside hitter continued her offensive assault through the weekend, registering seven kills against New Hampshire (3-0) and another 16 against Dartmouth (3-1). Both attempts saw Sage hit attack percentages of .445 and .364, respectively. She was named to the all-tournament team, and now currently boasts the NEC match-high for her .625 hitting clip against Rutgers.
