Katz lowered her league-leading goals-against average (GAA) while helping Monmouth secure two wins last week. The veteran goalie allowed only one goal in 140:00 of play against Brown and Delaware and her GAA fell to 1.20 as a result. Katz blanked Brown for her first shutout of the season before holding Delaware scoreless for the first 62:14 of the Hawk’s 3-1 win. The third-year starter faced a season-high nine shots against Delaware and made eight saves. Katz, who represented Team New Jersey at the USA High Performance Nationals this past spring, owns a 4-1 record thus far this fall.
