Tedesco’s offensive production and late-game heroics spearheaded Sacred Heart’s series sweep of Monmouth this past weekend. The senior recorded an RBI in four consecutive contests and produced a pair of game-winning walk-off hits. Reaching base at a .500 clip, Tedesco went 7-for-15 (.476) at the plate with seven runs scored and five RBI over the four-game sample. After logging an RBI and run scored in Friday’s series opener, Tedesco posted back-to-back three-hit performances during Saturday’s doubleheader. He scored three times and drove in one run in each half of the double dip that saw SHU pull out two extra-inning victories. Tedesco’s bases-loaded RBI single in the eighth inning of the first game sent the Pioneers to a 6-5 victory. With the nightcap tied at 3-3, Tedesco led off the 10th inning by blasting a solo home run to left field. Tedesco slugged .800 for the series and was a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen base attempts.
