With the NEC Outdoor Championships approaching, Bridge solidified her No. 1 seed in the shot put by turning in a huge personal best at last week’s Penn Relays. Bridge put the shot 15.08m (49’ 5.75”) to win the meet’s “Olympic Development” Division and extend her lead over the NEC to 1.34m. Bridge’s winning mark ranks 54th overall amongst NCAA Division I shot putters and 31st within the NCAA’s East Region. It also stands exactly 2.00m better than the mark that won her the 2009 NEC crown.
