MacEwen improved on her 800-meter time to take her second consecutive Road Runner Sports women’s rookie honor. Shaving more than 1.6 seconds off the time she ran at Tennessee’s Sea Ray Relays, the first-year Hawk placed fourth in her heat at Princeton’s Larry Ellis Friday Night Races. MacEwen crossed the line in 2:16.30 to catapult herself into second place on the NEC leader board. Her time also makes her Monmouth’s freshman record holder.
