Earning Akadema/NEC Pitcher of the Week for the first time is Nicole Sidor, who picked up two wins and a save in three starts this week for the Pioneers while posting a 1.29 ERA. The freshman hurler struck out eight batters in each start and twice did not allow a single earned run through seven innings. Sidor started the week with a strong complete game performance against Yale in which she allowed just four hits. Sidor held the Bulldogs without a hit through the first five frames. On Saturday against the Mount, she started the game and would eventually re-enter to secure the win with the first save of her collegiate career. Sidor again went the distance in a 2-1 victory over Monmouth as the Hawks scored just one first-inning, unearned run.
