Cantor notched straight-set singles wins over opponents from Rhode Island and NEC rival Sacred Heart. The rookie Bobcat stepped up to the No. 1 singles spot against Rhody and posted a 6-4,6-3 over Kirsten Leikem. Returning to her customary No. 2 position in the lineup, Cantor dealt Sacred Heart’s Darcy Demers a straight-set loss, 6-2, 6-2. Partnering with Sarah Viebrock, Cantor accounted for a pair of No. 2 doubles wins, too. Her only setbacks of the week came in Quinnipiac’s loss to Massachusetts.
