Skvarka picked up a pair of No. 2 singles wins that helped Fairleigh Dickinson to two team victories last week. The Fairleigh Dickinson freshman needed little time to defeat Monmouth’s Ian Terpilowski, 6-2, 6-0. The straight-sets triumph gave FDU its first singles point in a 6-1 win over the Hawks in NEC Tennis’ version of the Garden State rivalry. After dropping the first-set tiebreaker to Saint Joseph’s Alex Veronis, Skvarka stormed back to win the match in a third-set super tiebreaker, 6-7 (2), 6-2, 10-4. Skvarka’s lone loss of the week came to Moshe Levy of nationally-ranked Binghamton.
