Wilks had quite a weekend at Tennessee’s Sea Ray Relays. On her way to one of the top-20 heptathlon scores in the nation, Wilks took over the Northeast Conference lead in the javelin. The defending NEC javelin champion unleashed a mark of 44.75m (146’ 10”) in her signature event. Wilks’ javelin mark far exceeds the qualifying standard for the ECAC Championships as do the 4838 points she tallied in the heptathlon. Wilks’ performance, which was good enough for seventh place at the Sea Ray Relays, ranks 18th amongst all NCAA Division I heptathletes.
