For the third time in four weeks, a Long Island Blackbird claims the Road Runner Sports NEC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week award. After mid-distance runner Julius Mutekanga accounted for the first two, Egadu adds his name to the list. The LIU sprinter posted the NEC’s top-ranked 200-meter time at Virginia’s Lou Onesty Invitational. Egadu sprinted to a second-place finish at UVA, clocking in at 21.63. The time stands as a seasonal best and qualifies Egadu for the IC4A Championships.
