To say Mejia's performance against the Mount was spectacular would be an understatement. In an unprecedented display of power, the reigning NFCA Third-Team shortstop homered in four straight at bats spanning both games of the double dip. On the day, Mejia was 6-for-8 with eight RBIs, four dingers and a double. The Blackbird also collected two hits in each contest against Monmouth, going 2-for-4 in the first game with a homer and going 2-for-3 in the nightcap. For the weekend, the Sylmar, CA native posted an other-worldly 1.733 slugging percentage and batted .667 from the dish. Raising her batting clip to .427 on the year, Mejia now leads the Blackbirds in nearly every statistical category and is now batting .583 in conference games. For her outstanding efforts, she is the Akadema/NEC Player of the Week recipient.
