Babic has captured at least a share of the NEC Player of the Week award in each of the past four weeks. The reigning NEC Player of the Year won all three No. 1 singles matches she contested last week in straight sets. Babic dropped a total of one game against her counterparts from Fordham and Monmouth. Contributing to a pair of 7-0 team victories, she downed Fordham’s Martina Featherston, 6-0, 6-1, before topping Monmouth’s Nicole Lippens, 6-0, 6-0. Babic closed the week by defeating former NEC Player of the Year (2007) Julija Korshunova of Fairleigh Dickinson, 6-3, 6-2. Babic was also logged a perfect 3-0 record at No. 1 doubles last week.
